If you're planning an event that needs a big screen, the first fork in the road is usually this: do you need a mobile LED trailer, or a modular LED wall? They're both large-format LED displays, but they're built for different jobs.

Mobile LED trailer: fast, self-contained, outdoor-ready

A mobile LED trailer is exactly what it sounds like—a large LED screen mounted on a trailer, towed to your site, and set up on location. Astro Pixel's primary trailer is approximately 12' x 7', built for fast deployment at outdoor and large-format events.

It's the right call when you need a big screen at a location without existing infrastructure: a parking lot watch party, a field for a race finish line, a church parking lot for an outdoor movie night. Because it's self-contained, there's no rigging or trussing to plan for—you're mostly thinking about space, ground surface, and vehicle access.

Modular LED wall: custom size, indoor or outdoor, built to spec

A modular LED wall is built from individual panels—square, rectangular, or corner tiles—assembled on-site into whatever size and shape the event calls for. That makes it the better fit when a fixed 12' x 7' screen doesn't match your space: a stage backdrop that needs to be wider than it is tall, a wraparound corner installation for a brand activation, or an indoor gala where a trailer simply won't fit through the door.

Modular walls also make sense when you already have your own crew, processing, and rigging and just need panels—that's where dry rental comes in (more on that below).
